St. Kitts and Nevis furthering Diplomatic Engagements with Africa

Her Excellency, Dr. Mutryce Williams, the nation’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations met with, Nigerian representative, Dr. Taoheed Olufemi Elias on various topics such climate justice.

 

Dr. Elias, an international lawyer, is currently serving as Judge Ad Hoc in the International Court of Justice and Secretary-General, of the African Association of International Law.

 

St. Kitts and Nevis is making continual progress in advancing diplomatic relations with African states. Her Excellency, Dr. Williams mentioned and I quote: “for St. Kitts and Nevis, it is stated policy of both the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister that we turn our geopolitical gaze to the countries and continent of Africa.”

 

She continued, “This engagement represents that diplomatic directive, and the Permanent Mission is honoured to have been the first Caribbean country to host Judge Elians and to engage on critical issues ranging from climate justice, revitalizing multilateralism and pan-Africanism.”
