A 3.9 magnitude earthquake took place near Basseterre, St. Kitts on Thursday Mar. 26th: the fourth in nearly two weeks. Based on information from the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), it occurred at 3:19 a.m.
It was located at latitude: 17.69 degrees N, longitude: 62.25 degrees W and struck at a depth of 42 km. St. Kitts coordinates are latitude: 17.35 degrees North, longitude: 62.78 degrees West.
The quake occurred 69 km NE of Basseterre, 78 km NW of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 99 km N of Brades, Montserrat.
Between Friday Mar. 13th and Thursday Mar. 26th, four (4) quakes took place near St. Kitts: Mar. 13th, Mar. 19th, Mar. 20th and Mar. 26th.
