Consumers informed of new regulations regarding Consumer Protection Act 2023
Following the passing of the Consumer Protection Bill 2023 in the national sitting of parliament on October 30th, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, et.al has sought to inform the public of new regulations put in place to protect both consumers and business owners.
Contrary to the previous Consumer Affairs Act, the new legislation allows the officials from the Department of Consumer Affairs to issue tickets to businesses who infringe on the regulations put in place to protect the health and wellbeing of all consumers in St. Kitts and Nevis.
