As Culturama 49 continues with its list of activities, the crowning of the groovy and power Soca Monarch Kings was held last night at the Cultural Village in Charlestown.

Amassing a total of 388 points, Delly Rank was crowned the C49 Soca Groovy King winning that segment with his song entitled “Feel like Dancing” with Speedy coming it at 1st runner up and 2nd runner up- going to Xman while Daddy Tustee copped the title of Power King with a total of 398 points singing a song called “Blaze” with Speedy gaining1st runner up position and 2nd runner up-Soca Empress. There were a total of 8 participants for each segment.

Meanwhile, Culturama activities will continue today with the Department of Agriculture Fruit Festival at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park from 10:00 a.m.

Also at 10:00 a.m., will be Day 3 of the Taiwanese Expo at the same venue followed by the TDC Senior Kaiso Contest that will be held at the Cultural Complex tonight at 8 o’ clock.
