Director of the Social Security Board – Mr. Antonio Maynard, gave some assurance to employees of Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, concerning September’s stimulus cheques.
This became a topic as a concerned citizen inquired about the stimulus cheques for the Four Seasons Resort workers, on Tuesday’s “Leadership Matters” Program.
Effective August 1st 2020, 410 Four Seasons Resort employees, were temporarily laid-off.
Prior to the layoffs, the employees were paid 100% of their salaries during April and May and 60% during June and July.
Due to the continuing financial constraints caused by the closure of the country’s borders, the Social Security Board implemented an extension of their COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund for the month of September only.
However, several persons still have not received their cheques. Mr. Maynard addressed this issue:
