The importance of food security in the Marine sector, especially during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, was the focal point for the Director of the Department of Marine Resources, Dr. Marc Williams.
He spoke about the sector recently and explained the ratios at which St. Kitts and Nevis, imports seafood as opposed to that which is caught or produced locally:
