JNF Hospital addresses patient incident and security measures

JNF General Hospital’s management has provided updates regarding the recent incident involving a patient who absconded from the facility.

In the update, JNF said its “current security presence is more than adequate; however, this incident has highlighted certain gaps in protocols. Management is actively working to address these areas to further strengthen safety measures and ensure the well-being of all patients and staff.”

Prior to this incident, hospital management had initiated plans to expand CCTV coverage throughout the facility. In addition, a comprehensive review of security protocols and operational measures is underway to close any gaps and enhance overall security.

JNF General Hospital, with the support of the Ministry of Health, said it “is fully committed to assisting the patient and their family during this time. The hospital team is ensuring they receive the care and support they need.”

Though the incident “has brought specific challenges to light, it does not reflect broader security concerns”, JNF stated.
