The St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department has formally arrested and charged Bernard Esdaille of Main Street, St. Paul’s, St. Kitts for the offences of “False Declaration, Concealment of Restricted Goods to wit Cannabis,” and “Importation of Restricted Goods to wit Cannabis.”

The offences were committed on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport when a routine Customs check of imported cargo revealed thirty- seven (37) small packages of vegetable material concealed in three (3) milk shake containers in a parcel addressed to Mr. Esdaille.

Forensic analysis later confirmed the vegetable material to be Cannabis.

In a press release, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is highly commending the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department for their continued efforts to stop the illegal importation of goods into the Federation.
