Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education (Nevis), Mr. Kevin Barrett.
His comments were made at a press briefing on May 11th, to announce the revised scores of the Gulf Insurance Inter-primary Schools Championship (or Mini-Olympics), which was held on April 27th. Nine teams comprising 360 athletes competed at the event.
According to Meet Director, Garfield Virgo, a meeting was held two days after the meet (April 29th) with Representatives from each of the primary schools and coaches, to review the 54 events.
Following the meeting, a briefing was slated for May 4th but was postponed. Hence, the May 11th briefing saw changes made to the scores and Mr. Virgo provided these details.
