On Wednesday March 31st, 50 Primary school students participated in a Kite Making Workshop in preparation for the Kite Flying Competition held over the Easter Holidays.
According to Nevis’ Junior Minister of Education, the Hon. Troy Liburd, the workshop began on March 29th and ended on March 31st 2021. As a joint collaboration by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tourism, the workshop was held on The Flats for primary school children.

The Kite Flying Competition, held at The Flats on April 2nd 2021, is sponsored by the Hamilton Reserve Bank (originally called the Nevis International Bank Trust). The categories for awarding prizes at the competition included: the biggest kite, the best prepared kite and the best flying kite.
