An opening ceremony for a new court annex the Sir Lee L. Moore judicial complex was held on Tuesday, December 14th 2021.
Previously there were only two magistrate courts in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
During remarks made at the opening ceremony Senior Magistrate Ag. Mr. Renold Benjamin gave this synopsis on the matters the new court will address:

The two-story building houses a third Magistrate’s Court Chamber in District A, a court-connected Mediation Centre, and a Law Library.
