Regional Security Systems held CPO Course for ECCB and its OECS Associates

The Regional Security System’s Training Institute (RSS TI), held a Close Protection Officer (CPO) Course for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

 

The course trained Protection Officers of the ECCB, as well as Police Officers of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), who work with the bank.

 

The Close Protection Officers, also known as bodyguards, were educated in various areas including dealing with VIPs under fire, multiple threats, extraction drills, first aid, drop offs and pickups, and contingency planning.

 

In attendance at the opening ceremony for the course were Administrative Staff of the ECCB including the Governor, Timothy N.J. Antoine. Also present was Commissioner of the Royal Saint Christopher and Nevis Police Force, James Sutton, and Deputy Commissioner, Cromwell Henry.

 

The Regional Security System is a unity of the eight member states of: Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Dominica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to address security issues and preserve social and economic development in the region.
