St. Kitts & Nevis remains at a low risk concerning communicable diseases, according to Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Terrance Drew.
A communicable disease is one that spreads from one person or animal to another or from a surface to a person. Communicable diseases include colds and flu.
Based on the statistics from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), from December 2023 into early January 2024, the Federal Ministry of Health (MOH) reported over 180 confirmed laboratory cases of dengue with nearly 50 cases for St. Kitts and almost 140 cases for Nevis.
