SKN Labour Party calls for fresh Elections

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP’s) Leader, Dr. Terrance Drew is calling for fresh General Elections as the split widens within the ruling coalition Team Unity Government.

He had this to say:

Last week, six legislators linked to the current government of Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris wrote to Governor General (G.G.), Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton indicating that the Prime Minister did not command the support of the majority of elected members in the National Assembly.

However, the (G.G.) said late last week that he will seek “legal advice” on the matter.

Additionally, Dr. Drew dubbed this as “curious”:

Hence, the Labour Party’s view is that there is only one way to resolve the issues:

The coalition government comprises of Harris’ People’s Labour Party (PLP), the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and the Concerned Citizen’s Movement (CCM).
