St. Kitts and Nevis participated in the Africa Dialogue Series 2025 (ADS 2025) at the United Nations throughout May, culminating in the High-Level Policy Dialogue on May 30.

Representing the Federation were Her Excellency, Dr. Mutryce Williams, Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Third Secretary Mrs. Lecia Phipps.

This year’s theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations,” encouraged reflection on historical injustices and promoted strategies for reparative justice.

Ambassador Williams highlighted the importance of participation, noting the country’s deep historical ties to Africa and commitment to building stronger relations.

“It was very important to ensure that St. Kitts and Nevis was represented at the Africa Dialogue Series 2025, not only because of our country’s historical ties to Africa that has shaped our civilization, but because our country, has a keen interest in deepening our relations with our African brothers and sisters at this time,” Dr. Williams stated.

She referenced Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew’s recent visit to Nigeria as a pivotal step in expanding African-Caribbean cooperation.

A Second Africa-CARICOM Summit will be held in Addis Ababa on September 7, 2025, aiming to further strengthen ties and promote south-south cooperation.
