Two men charged in connection with gas station robbery on Nevis

Two men were charged with the offence of Robbery in connection with the Dayton Service Station robbery in Jessup’s Village, Nevis, which occurred on Labour Day Monday May 6th.

 

 

 

Akeem Dos Santos of Church Ground, Nevis, 25, and Nicklus David of Low Street, Nevis, 21, were charged on Friday June 14th, with Mr Dos Santos charged at the Cotton Ground Police Station, and Mr David being charged at the Newcastle Police Station.

 

 

 

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) said it is “wholly grateful to the general public for its assistance in this matter.” The Force also urged “members of the public to step forward and share any information they may have regarding criminal activities.”

 

 

 

The earlier mentioned incident was one of two robberies that occurred over the Labour Day weekend, as it was plagued by crime-related incidents, on Nevis. On the evening of May 6th, Police responded to a report of a robbery at Dayton Service Station. Lawmen said a single armed, masked assailant accosted the proprietor and stole a sum of money from the establishment and fled the scene. No injuries were sustained during the incident.

 

 

 

Prior to this, Gracie Snackette and Bar located at Brown Pasture, bandits robbed the establishment on Sunday May 5th, where they stole money and other valuable items at gunpoint.
