“Unwavering Vision for a Sustainable Tomorrow” was the theme of this year’s Prime Minister New Year’s Gala.
The event, which was hosted by Prime Minister – Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, saw the presence of a number of dignitaries including Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Senior Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas as well as Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley.
The event also saw the presence of ambassadors of St. Kitts and Nevis and performances by local and regional artists.
Presenting the keynote address in alignment with the evening’s theme was guest speaker, Minister of Women and Gender Affairs and Youth in the Canadian Cabinet, Hon. Marci Ien.
Hon. Ien spoke on the common goals in sustainability to be attained in both St. Kitts-Nevis and Canada and commended the nation for the progress made thus far:
