About 10 months ago, Selwyn “Judge” Pringle of Dieppe Bay, St. Kitts, 64, was formally charged by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) with Murder in connection with the death of fifteen (15)-year-old Janelika Romney of New Guinea.
This charge follows previous charges brought against Mr. Pringle for the offences of Kidnapping and False Imprisonment, also in relation to Janelika’s disappearance. Mr. Pringle was her Godfather.
She was discovered on June 27th 2025, in a bushy area on a dirt road, in the White Gate area, about 11 days after disappearing on Monday June 16th.
A post-mortem examination (autopsy) determined that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the body. Mr. Pringle was charged shortly thereafter at the Basseterre Police Station.
In July 2025, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force stated on social media that Pringle “is currently remanded at His Majesty’s Prison awaiting trial.”
But when can the public expect a trial date? A police spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE in response, recently, “as soon as the Court sets one”.
