Citizens and residents urged to keep surroundings of Charlestown clean

Following the flushing of drains in the Charlestown vicinity on Sunday, Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley has sought to urge the public to desist from contributing to the accumulation of garbage in the island’s town.

 

 

 

According to Minister Brantley, the level of debris blocking the drain was said to be due to littering that occurred in the area. Along with making the commitment to increase the flushing of drains in the town to reduce debris build up, the premier also encouraged persons to dispose of their garbage in the proper way instead of engaging in the undesirable practice:
