Local attorney-at-law found not guilty for attempting to pervert the course of public justice
A local attorney-at-law has been found not guilty for Attempting to Pervert the Course of Public Justice. This is when a person prevents justice from being served on themselves or on another party.
A press release from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force states, that the case was heard at the St. Christopher Circuit High Court on Friday October 17th.
The press release added “in the matter of The Director of Public Prosecutions versus Craig Tuckett, who was indicted for Attempting to Pervert the Course of Public Justice, allegedly committed on February 12th, 2024, the jury returned a majority verdict of Not Guilty.”
The defendant was therefore discharged, and the jury was thanked for their service.
