Nations around the world celebrated International Men’s Day 2025, on November 19th. The day is recognized to raise awareness about men’s issues, celebrate positive male role models, and promote discussions on well-being, equality, and societal contributions.
The day was founded in 1999 by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh, a history lecturer at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago who chose that day to “honor his father’s birthday, who he looked up to for his kindness, resilience, and positive influence.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Gender Affairs-St. Kitts, the Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley shared this message in an address:

The minister encourages the public particularly men and boys to participate in the activities and other initiatives being held in the federation to commemorate the special day. On Friday November 21st, the public is to wear blue and the boys’ session of the Men and Boys Conference on Nevis will also take place. The following day, Saturday November 22nd, will be the men’s’ session of the Men and Boys Conference and also the International Men’s Day Award Ceremony on Nevis.
