Community Spread Now Confirmed; More than 60% of SKN’s populace receive first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

The Ministry of Health in St. Kitts and Nevis has confirmed that the Federation has now entered the stage of COVID-19 Community spread.  

 

This was revealed at an Emergency COVID-19 Press Briefing on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021.  

  

Community spread, according to the US Center for Diseases Control (CDC), means people have been infected with the virus in an area, including some who are not sure how or where they became infected.

This includes persons with no travel history or contact with affected people. 

 

Meanwhile, over 60% of the total population in St. Kitts and Nevis received their first dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine as at June 1st, 2021.
