The Nevis Sixth Form College’s Literary Debating Society has recommenced its operations, following a hiatus due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
The extra-curricular group at the institution offers an environment for debating varying topics, honing skills in reference to public speaking and also represents the island in the Leeward Island Debating Competition (LIDC). With the regional competition set for February 29th to March 3rd, the society is in preparation mode.
One measure being taken is the execution of a fund-raising “In House Debate” on December 9th at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall.
