Social Security celebrates forty six years of fund operation

The St. Christopher and Nevis Social Security Board celebrated its 46th anniversary of operating the Social Security Fund on February 1st, 2024.

 

 

 

Founded in 1978, the organization stands with reserves of over $1.724 billion. After over four decades, the fund commits to sticking with its mission to provide the best possible benefits to all eligible persons, guaranteed by sound financial management and efficient administration.

 

 

 

The fund is also seeking to achieve its celebratory theme, “Transform, Reform, Thrive” through internal transformation, information technology innovation and a realignment of core objectives. Congratulating the stakeholders of Social Security and the achievements made over the years was Prime Minister and Minister of Social Security, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew:
