Work commences on connecting new Maddens Water Well Site to Nevis’ Water System

Nevis’ Minister of Works and Water Services, Spencer Brand announced on Tuesday Jan 14th, that work has commenced on connecting the new Maddens water well site to our water system.

He said on social media “this project marks a significant step towards enhancing our water supply and ensuring reliable access for all residents.”

Minister Brand “we appreciate your support and patience as we work to improve our infrastructure. Together, we’re building a sustainable future for Nevis.”

Water and Oil Well Services Company Limited is the drilling company contracted by the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) to drill for water and construct nine wells. Additional sites in areas such as Dasents Estate, Marion Heights, and Gingerland, have been identified.

This is part of NIA’s efforts to provide more water to the general public.
